Passionate, knowledgeable, and kind staff; what more could you want from a rainforest tour? Pulling from their extensive knowledge of the local terrain, Manfred and Ojos Buenos (aka Alex) made our trip complete: Sloths, monkeys, frogs, birds, and butterflies, Oh My! And, icing on the cake? We were able to document an incredibly rare species of bird - an ornithologist's delight. And huge shout out to Alison, whose cooking capped off an incredible adventure. Pura Vida!

We had a wonderful morning with Manfred as our guide. We encountered sloths, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, toucans, motmots — too many amazing creatures to list. Manfred and his trusty telescope provided both excellent views and great photos (through the telescope 🩷) of all our sightings. Alex was a wonderful spotter. The snacks we were served were the best of our week here in Rio Celeste — especially the empanadas. I’m sorry I can’t recall the young women’s name who prepared them for us — she deserves a shout out, as does our excellent driver. It’s nice to be driven by someone who agrees that getting you somewhere safely is more important than getting you there fast. Major kudos to Manfred and Bajagua Rainforest Tours.

Wonderful rainforest walks with Kevin as our guide and Jonny and Jocelyn driving. Kevin’s enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise were infectious and gave us a genuine appreciation of the world around us. We saw sloths, monkeys , baby snakes and an amazing array of birds including toucans and humming birds. The tubing was also a fantastic experience! Highly recommend!!

Had a wonderful time with Marlon looking for sloths and exploring hanging bridges. He is very knowledgeable and tailored our experience to our family, which included two 7-year-olds. We learned a ton about the trees and plants and could tell he is reverent and respectful to the nature around him--thank you for sharing your expertise with our family! To be honest, I would have been less comfortable on hikes without a guide, so such a value to be able to relax and let him take the lead. (Marlon- we saw a toucan on the hike later in the day 🙂 Thank you for all your efforts to find them with us!)
