We had an amazing experience on our tour with Walter and Johnny! They picked us up from our hotel and drove us through the mountains to the Arenal Volcano. Walter had a wealth of knowledge and helped us get to know Costa Rica from a local’s perspective. He took amazing photos throughout the day and helped us spot a number of interesting wildlife on our hike. He pointed out details we would have never noticed if we hiked by ourselves. Our trip to the hot springs was also incredible. We are on our honeymoon and it was nice to have some time for the two of us to unwind after our hike. They both went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We made a number of extra stops to see interesting spots around town. The lunch stop was some of the best, authentic food we had on our trip. The empanadas were amazing!! We had so much fun talking to Walter and Johnny and it was a great way to spend the day. We highly recommend the tour!

Our tour was a morning hike at Arenal Volcano, lunch, and afternoon at an hot springs spa. Our guide Bryan was fabulous. A wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna, and how the rain forest ecosystem works. He goes at your pace and works hard to find interesting animals and plants. He carries a telescope and will take pictures with your phone. We got great shots of several spider monkeys. We learned lots about how cutting ant work and can easily identify them now. He explained how Costa Rica has changed over the last 70 years to preserve the natural environment. His English is fabulous and seems to love his job. The driver was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Definitely would recommend.
